OVERVIEW

A MAN TGM 4x4 converted into a custom-built expedition camper truck, featuring a purpose-designed living module and comprehensive equipment for comfortable and independent travel.

The project took approximately two years from ordering the truck to completing the conversion. Due to an unexpected family situation that arose during the final stage of the build, the owner will unfortunately be unable to use the vehicle and has decided to sell it.

The truck is brand new, has never been registered and is prepared for the motorhome homologation process.

1. BASE VEHICLE: MAN TGM 4x4 13/320

Model: MAN TGM 4x4 13/320.
6-cylinder engine.
Power: 320 HP.
Maximum torque: 1,250 Nm.
Front, centre and rear differential locks.
Air-suspended cab.
Insulated cab interior.
6 cab seats, subject to the vehicle documentation.
Folding camera systems replacing conventional rear-view mirrors, with night vision.
Two large digital displays with multiple viewing configurations and distance measurement.
Large central multimedia screen with professional truck navigation.
Additional camera for the front-right blind spot.

2. CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION

Rear air suspension.
Removable external control for operating the suspension.
Living module specifically designed for this vehicle.
Dedicated 160 mm supporting chassis for the living module.
Reinforced structural corners and side panels.
Anti-torsion mounting system between the living module and the truck chassis, using springs to accommodate relative movement between the two structures.

3. LIVING MODULE AND INSULATION

A custom-designed and manufactured living module, with particular attention to structural strength, thermal insulation and comfort while travelling.

4. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND ENERGY AUTONOMY

A high-capacity electrical system designed to provide substantial energy autonomy and support the various appliances and systems within the living module.

Batteries

Lithium battery bank: 900 Ah at 24 V.
Approximate nominal energy capacity: 21.6 kWh, calculated from 900 Ah × 24 V. The usable capacity depends on the specifications and configuration of the system.

Solar power

Installed solar photovoltaic capacity: 1,005 W.
24 V electrical system.

Inverter and charger

Victron Quattro 8,000 W inverter-charger.
Charger rated with a stated charging current of 200 A at 24 V.

This configuration combines substantial battery storage, solar generation and a high-capacity power conversion and charging system.

5. WATER SYSTEM

500-litre fresh water tank.
Stainless steel tank construction.
Hot water system.

6. INTERIOR EQUIPMENT

The living module features a complete layout for travelling and living on board, with custom-made furniture and integrated storage solutions.

7. WEIGHT AND HOMOLOGATION

The vehicle has been designed with a target maximum authorised mass (MAM) of 9,990 kg, with the aim of facilitating access to certain destinations and areas.

An increase to 13,000 kg may also be worth investigating, as this figure appears in the original manufacturer's technical documentation. Any increase is subject to the relevant technical, documentary and administrative approvals.

Current status: the vehicle has not been registered and is not yet homologated as a motorhome. It is prepared for the homologation process. The final authorised mass and registration requirements must be confirmed through the relevant documentation and procedures.
